After you purchase your theme, you will immediately gain access to your files on the Downloads page. If you’ve purchased from Creative Market or Etsy, you can find your downloads on the Purchases page. After you’ve downloaded your files, follow the instructions for your theme here.

Theme Compatibility

Our themes are tested and guaranteed to work on the latest version of WordPress 5.8 +. Please update your WordPress to the latest version before installing your theme.

No. You will need to delete the classic editor plugin if you want to use the homepage and other pages that were included with your theme. This is because all pages, posts and widget areas are made using blocks.

NO – my themes are WordPress themes and are not compatible with Wix, Shopify, Showit, Blogger, or Squarespace. does not allow users to upload custom themes, therefore my themes will not work on websites created through The new Business accounts on allow for custom themes, however, my themes have not been tested on this platform and I cannot be 100% sure that all theme features and plugins will work as shown in the demo. Purchase and install the theme at your own risk!

I recommend a self-hosted WordPress website. This means you have purchased hosting + domain name and installed wordpress.ORG through your hosting. To learn about the differences and set up a self-hosted website, see my Getting Started guide.

My Kadence child themes are compatible with both Elementor and BB, but because I don’t use these to build my themes, you will need to create your own pages using your chosen page builder. My WordPress themes use the block editor to create the pages, so you will not be able to edit the blocks using Elementor or BB. I also do not provide support for Elementor or BB for these reasons.

YES! If you have purchased hosting + a domain name and have installed WordPress onto your site through your hosting, this is called a self-hosted website and it’s exactly what you need to make the theme work!


Your customizer options and the overall design of your website will be different because you now have a new theme design. Your existing content (blog posts, media, pages, menus, categories, etc) is 100% safe when you switch to a new theme – none of this content will be deleted. Some of your widgets will most likely be moved to the Inactive Widget area because different themes have different widget areas. You can place them back after installing your new theme.

You will have all of the images and graphics when you import the demo content to help get you started! Any graphics made by me are free for you to use for personal or commercial use. Stock photography is free for you to use unless stated otherwise in the theme info and support docs.

Yes. Once you have purchased a theme, it’s yours and you can use it on more than one site that you own.

* If you have purchased and are setting up a theme for a client, you are responsible for providing support to the client. If your client needs support from me, they will need to purchase the theme separately.

You may remove the Hearten Made footer credit link from your theme footer. Although this is allowed, it would be appreciated if you linked back somewhere on your site! Thank you for supporting my small business!

If you are a designer, you are free to use, redesign and edit the coding of an HM theme for a client!

Please know, that once you have edited the theme’s code, I do not provide support as stated in my terms. You are also responsible for providing support to your client – if your client needs my support, they will need to purchase the theme separately.

Under no circumstances may you purchase and re-sell a theme from Hearten Made. This goes against my terms.

I am happy to help answer any questions pertaining to any Hearten Made theme, theme setup, and theme installation! Any further customizations beyond what is shown in the demo site (e.g. custom css changes, help with plugins not recommended for the theme, etc) is not covered under support. Due to the digital nature of our products, there are no refunds or exchanges for WordPress themes or Canva templates. My products are digital files, not tangible items that can be returned.

If you purchased a service product that is not an instant download (such as theme installation or theme customization services), you can request a refund so long as work has not yet been started.

Yes! You only need to purchase once. There are no other fees or monthly payments.
